50th Celebration of Life a Night to Remember
Right to Life of Louisville held its 50th Annual Celebration of Life Banquet on Thursday, March 16th at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Nearly 600 prolifers came together for a wonderful evening of food, drink, fellowship, and awards!
Early in the evening, Mary Ann Schubert received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her many years of commitment to the prolife cause. Mary Ann has been a board member and President of Right to Life of Louisville, chaired the high school oratory contest for many years, and serves on the Respect Life Committee at her parish. The inaugural Margie Montgomery Valor Award was awarded to Attorney General Lynn Fitch for defending her state’s prolife laws all the way to the US Supreme Court. Ultimately, her efforts resulted in the overturning of Roe v Wade and sending the decision back to the state level!
Fox & Friends’ Rachel Campos-Duffy captivated the audience by providing a full-throttled take on the abortion issue and current events. The crowd loved hearing from Rachel and appreciated her approachable nature – as evidenced by the long line waiting to speak with her at the conclusion of the evening.
A record-breaking amount was raised during the event’s financial appeal which will support our education and advocacy work in the local community, as well as the newly announced adoption assistance grants. If you were unable to attend, you can still make a sacrificial gift to support our work.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors who have made this evening possible. Thanks to their unwavering commitment, all proceeds of the evening went directly toward our mission of Changing Hearts & Saving Lives! We thank God for placing them on our path toward a prolife community.
