Truth about the Yes for Life amendment
A Pro-Life Amendment in Kentucky's Constitution
Pro-life supporters across the Commonwealth can vote Yes for Life on November 8, 2022 and pass a Constitutional Amendment that states to protect human life, our Kentucky Constitution shall NOT protect a right to abortion or the funding for an abortion.
Unfortunately, the abortion industry is spreading misinformation and flat out lies to protect its cash cow. Right to Life of Louisville has no financial incentive in the passage (or defeat) of this amendment – our only concern is protecting innocent human life!
Here is the truth the abortion industry does not want you to know:
- Voting YES on this amendment will not impact the ability of pregnant women to seek life-saving care. Abortion restrictions will continue to be crafted by the people’s elected representatives in Frankfort. These restrictions allow physicians to perform medical procedures to prevent death or the risk of death (e.g. an ectopic pregnancy). (see HB 148)
- Voting YES on this amendment will save unborn babies and prevent activist judges from manipulating our Kentucky Constitution to advance the abortion agenda. Babies will certainly be saved!
- Voting YES will protect taxpayer dollars to ensure they are not used to end the life of an unborn child. Protecting taxpayer dollars from funding abortions is a common-sense, bi-partisan issue. (see Guttmacher)
- Voting YES will protect women. Abortion is inherently anti-woman. With the availability of abortion, women are made objects of use by the abortion industry, human traffickers, and men who want to take advantage of women by relying on easy access to abortion.
