SUMMARY:2026 Celebration of Life
DESCRIPTION:Right to Life of Louisville invites you to join us at our 2026 Annual Celebration of Life at the Crowne Plaza! Every year since 1974 Right to Life of Louisville has brought quality\, prolife individuals like Rep. Henry Hyde\, Dr. Alan Keyes\, and Christian recording artist Mark Schultz to the Louisville area. This isn’t just any event\, it’s a wonderful evening of food\, drink\, fellowship\, and awards! \n  \nWe are excited to welcome Kaya Jones as our featured speaker! \nGrammy-winning gospel artist Kaya Jones is widely known for her transformation from Pussycat Doll to Christian vocalist. But she also uses her powerful voice to advocate\, educate\, and inspire others. Her refreshing mix of passion and transparency makes her a sought-after keynote speaker who inspires\, encourages\, and motivates listeners. With the launch of her new podcast\, “Blessed” on her own Shiloah.tv streaming network\, Kaya is taking her message beyond the one million followers she reaches on social media. \nA staunch advocate for life\, Kaya is most frequently asked to share the story of the abortions she was pressured into having while working in the music industry. In 2024\, she headlined both the West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco and the Rally for Life Ireland in Dublin. More recently\, she appeared on the season premiere episode of “Politely Rude with Abby Johnson\,” hosted by the pro-life champion and former Planned Parenthood clinic director. Kaya’s message of honest regret and humble redemption moves audiences with compassion that typical culture war speakers miss. Listeners leave with a renewed commitment to value the unborn and lift up the women scarred by their own choices. \nKaya’s first-hand experience in the entertainment business positions her uniquely to address the impacts of Hollywood on our society. The abuse she endured fuels a strong desire to protect young artists and children in general from predatory influences and human trafficking. Her hard-won lessons help those following in her footsteps avoid common pitfalls and navigate the industry with their standards intact. She’s passed her wisdom along to rising stars at the International Christian Film Festival\, where she was invited to host in 2024 and serve as a panelist and presenter in 2025. Forging a new path in the faith-based film industry\, Kaya will appear in a supporting role in the film “The 11th Hour\,” scheduled for release in the fall of 2025. \nYears of trying to fit the mold her handlers created have taught her to value who she was created to be\, and who those around her were\, too. Each human was made who they were intended to be\, by a God who will never leave them – a message she reiterates to a generation that desperately needs to hear it. This faith is what sustained her through difficult circumstances that have set many in Hollywood on destructive paths. She aspires to set a positive example and guard the next generation the way she wishes others would have protected her. \nUnfortunately\, Hollywood isn’t the only place that left Kaya with scars. Like many\, she’s suffered church hurt that challenged her understanding and her faith. Rather than run from the Lord\, she chased Him\, enrolling in Hebrew Bible College and diving deeply into the Old and New Testaments. She came out with a deeper\, richer understanding of scripture and a faith in Jesus that she’s eager to share. She spent several months in the Holy Land shortly after her classes ended\, volunteering her time serving local children and Israeli soldiers. Her first-hand experiences have convicted her of the need to strengthen relationships between Jews and Christians\, and to play as much of a role as possible in the process. \nBut the former Pussycat Doll has not abandoned her first claim to fame – the vocal chops with which God gifted her. In 2019\, Kaya earned a Grammy for her work with Christian artist Jason Crabb. She has her sights again set on the Grammys as she releases her first solo gospel album\, “The Royal Collection\,” in late 2025. This compilation of contemporary Christian/crossover releases has a philanthropic focus\, and one of its early singles\, “Treasured\,” is slated for use in a docufilm by the same name. The song and film are part of the Treasured Foundation’s greater\, coordinated effort to relieve suffering at Korah through job creation\, housing development\, and empowerment programs. The film will be released on her Shiloah TV streaming network later this year. \nTicket Information: Students  \n\n$75 / person ($750 / table)\n$25 / students\n\nDoors open at 6 PM\, program begins at 7 PM. SUMMARY:Educational seminar on IVF from a Christian Perspective
DESCRIPTION:Educational Seminar: IVF from a Christian Perspective\nPlease join us for an educational seminar with Dr. Monica Miller\, who will present an informative discussion on IVF from a Christian perspective. \nDr. Miller was honored with the Margie Montgomery Valor Award earlier this spring. Unfortunately\, her flight was canceled\, and she was unable to attend the ceremony. We are honored to have her with us and will present her with her award during the seminar. \nThe seminar will cover the moral problems with any kind of artificial reproduction–from a natural law/theology of the body perspective and the meaning of human sexuality. And specifically\, regarding IVF what are the moral issues as to why such reproduction is unjust and immoral and should be banned. \n\nWe ask you to please RSVP today to reserve your seat today by clicking on link below. \nhttps://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/AGm6Jpdf2DM0dqQ7zM_8VQ \nDr. Monica Miller is the author of the widely popular pro-life bestseller\, “Abandoned: the Untold Story of the Abortion Wars” (Saint Benedict Press\, © 2012) — which will be available to purchase at the event. \n\n\n\nAbout Dr. Monica Miller:\n\nDr. Miller is the founder and Director of Citizens for a Pro-life Society—an activist pro-life group that she began in 1985. She is also a well-known theologian who taught at Madonna University for 15 years—as an Associate Professor and currently teaches Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. \n  \nShe became active in pro-life work in 1976 when she attended Southern Illinois University where she was a student of Theatre Arts. She began her Theological studies at Loyola University of Chicago in 1978 earning a Master’s Degree and has a Ph.D. from Marquette University in Milwaukee. \n  \nDr. Miller is a nationally known pro-life leader; a pioneer of the pro-life rescue movement\, a veteran sidewalk counselor\, who has organized hundreds of pro-life pickets\, rallies\, demonstrations and conferences.  She is one of the organizers for the annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Babies as well as the annual “Protest PP” (Planned Parenthood) demonstrations and the 2022 nationwide Dobbs Decision Day rallies. In addition\, Dr. Miller is a co-founder of and participant in the Red Rose Rescue effort in which pro-lifers enter abortion centers to talk mothers out of abortions and offer an act of loving defense to the unborn scheduled for abortions. \n  \nDr. Miller is the author of several books and articles including Sexuality and Authority in the Catholic Church\, The Theology of the Passion of the Christ—a commentary on Gibson’s film-The Passion of the Christ. Dr. Miller is also the author of Abandoned—The Untold Story of the Abortion Wars (Saint Benedict Press)\, published in September 2012– the historical narrative of pro-life activism–  called by some the best book ever written on abortion. Her most recent book The Authority of Women in the Catholic Church was published June 2015 by Emmaus Road Publishers. \n  \nIn 2008 Dr. Miller led the discovery of bio-hazard waste\, patient records and the remains of aborted babies in Detroit-area abortion clinic trash containers that resulted in formal investigations by Michigan state regulatory agencies and criminal charges being brought against the Woman Care abortion facilities by the Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.  In 2011 she helped shut down the Woman’s Choice abortion clinics in Michigan.  Dr. Miller led the charge against the opening of the Planned Parenthood abortion mega-clinic in Auburn Hills\, MI.   In 2012\, after an 18-months-long effort\, her group successfully kept the Planned Parenthood clinic from opening!  She helped establish Red Rose Rescue in 2017 and in the Summer of 2018 spent 32 days in jail and served another Red Rose Rescue jail term\, 34 days in 2023–for her efforts to defend the unborn from abortion \n  \nDr. Miller is married to Edmund Miller—founder of Guadalupe Workers— and is the mother of three beautiful children\, Bernadette\, Patrick and Joseph.
